Dr. Britt Wellness Coaching

Just a little snippet about what I do!
Have a listen and let me know what you think 🙂

Hi! I am Dr. Britt. I am native to Mesa, Arizona. You can find me in the gym training friends and family, on the canal preparing for a marathon, or catch me with a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies If you know me, you know I never back down from a challenge. Like EVER. I love Jesus with all my heart but I cuss a little.

In my spare time raising 4 daughters, one with whom has multiple special needs, I attended ASU and earned a Doctorate in Nursing and am a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Seeing patients and building relationships at Gilbert Pediatrics brings me the greatest joy.

I have always had a passion for learning and recently obtained my Life Coach Certification, because why not? I have created multiple programs to teach teenagers and their parents how to have a better relationship. I truly believe that with the education and implementation of these basic skills, together we will be able to enrich our relationships, communicate openly, and prevent many mental health challenges as they relate to Teens. Grateful to you for being here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching takes a unique approach to our minds. It offers the ability to see that we actually have all the answers within ourselves. As teens develop in these crucial years, it is imperative we teaches that although we cannot always control our circumstances, we can control the way we think about them. And those thoughts will determine how we feel. When we feel a certain way, we act a certain way. With each action, we take steps forward to create our ultimate result, which then determines our reality.

How is Life Coaching different than therapy?

I am a certified life coach, not a therapist or counselor. However, I am also a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and see patients in a clinic. During our time together, your teen will receive tangible tools and build lifelong skills to step boldly into their potential and they will do it with the power of their own brain. We will work together to problem solve, process feelings, and manage our thoughts.

Can you help my teenager pick up after themselves, do their chores, mind exactly what I say when I say it, and get along with their siblings?

Sorry. No. But I can teach them the tools to be a good human and contribute to society. Through classes and coaching they will develop the skills to build internal confidence, navigate relationships, and step boldly into their full potential. If only we would have had these tools growing up, we could have saved ourselves a lot of grief!
